    It is very rare that a performance at the Royal Festival Hall, London, brings an audience to it’s feet in a standing ovation. On 28 April 2009 the response to his playing of the Prokoviev Concerto No 3 in C Op 26 did just that.

    I have heard this piece many times over the years, often with famous pianists, but have never experienced anything quite like this performance. This young man has a great future ahead of him and I wish him well.

    Dr. David;

    Thanks for the review. Forgive my tardy response, as I have not been checking this site as actively as I do my others. I agree that Behzod Abduraimov definitely has a future ahead of him. Friends of mine who are composers based in Russia say that there is a lot of talent sitting in Central Asia that has yet to be tapped. I look forward to great things from the musicians of the area.
